WHERE MATH MEETS THE CODE

Curious about the 100th prime number? Can you teach a computer to score a Yatzhee roll? Join us this spring to combine logic, loops, functions with math to compute the answers to these questions and many more.

WHO: 4th – 10th grade students who have at least introductory experience with python.

WHAT: Python Puzzles – Where math meets the code Each week students will be presented with a set of python puzzles focussed on a python programming concept. Students will initially work together to learn how to approach the problems and then will be able to work at their own pace through increasingly complex challenges. Students must have either an iPad with the Pythonista app downloaded ($9.99) or a laptop/computer with Mu Editor downloaded (free). Instructions on setting up the iPad or laptop/computer will be provided. Students will not be able to use a Chromebook.
