Join us for Pick-up Robotics!
What is pick-up robotics? It is the tech cousin of pick-up basketball or pick-up soccer. It is a chance to show up, play, have fun, test your skills, watch what others can do, and improve.
Lehigh Valley CORE holds Pick-Up Robotics for 4th through 8th grade students who have some experience building and programming with Lego Mindstorm Robots. Each evening, students will be presented with a challenge or game. They will then have an hour or so to work with a teammate to design and build an attachment (if necessary) and program their robot to compete. All equipment (including built robot) will be provided. Each evening will end with friendly competition. Adults will provide supervision and encouragement but students will be on their own to work together and do their best. It is amazing the learning that goes on when students are left to their own resources and creativity!
